I Hate Being Stoic

I feel like I've recently hurt someone I love very much, because at a very inopportune moment I went stoic.
This happens once in a while, where I have a moment when I don't feel like feeling. And I went there when I was hanging out with someone quite important to me.
Ugh.

It Actually Exists! I'm Not Crazy!

Well, I guess I wouldn't go that far...

But look:

Like six or seven years ago, back when I possessed the strategy guide to Ocarina of Time (before it had been dropped in the bathtub/run over/torn to shreds/probably burned in the end), I read something I'd never heard before. A tiny note in one section mentioned something called a "Deku Theater" near Zora's Domain. This intrigued me, since there were few things in Zelda that, even then, I didn't know about, so I sought it out.

There was no Deku Theater. This bothered me to no end. I did everything to look for it. Played the Song of Storms, the Megaton Hammer, plain ol' bombs, nothing. Nada. Zilch. See, I was under the impression that it was on that little ledge at Zora's River, right outside both Zora's Domain and the Lost Woods. I'd been told to go there and look for butterflies. I did, and I found them, but not the theater. Puzzled, I looked it up online.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I had never been faced with such an annoying mystery. I forgot about it eventually but every time I played through Ocarina of Time (around once a year every year since then) my curiosity was renewed. Finally I accepted that the Deku Theater wasn't real and A. Nintendo was mean and lied to me or B. I had just dreamed up the stupid place and was out of my mind.

Then, just today, I was on a Zelda website for an entirely unrelated reason and came across something mentioning a "Forest Stage", near some butterflies, but not in Zora's River...in the Lost Woods. Curious, I went there...

AND I FOUND THE DEKU THEATER. That was my problem. It existed, but the guidebook was wrong. It wasn't called the Deku Theater, it was called the Forest Stage, and the minute I googled that instead I came up with all kinds of results.

So here I am, bemused, triumphant, and a little annoyed, having finally found my Deku Theater.

Also, I just discovered this weird little bleeding poke on my leg that feels like a burn. Hm.

It's Snowing

For reals, finally. :D Gonna be a goooooood Christmas.

Pff, so I've magically become a girl who wears makeup...all of the sudden. I've decided there are three reasons girls wear makeup...to hide their face, to enhance their face, and to play with the colors. I am the last one. xD

So Merry Christmas. xD

Stories

I've realized how much I enjoy them. My dad can just go off for hours and I'll sit and listen and wish I were writing it all down. They're not even exciting stories, really, just stories. In general. Like how my dad's best friend showed up at their wedding with a baby carrier in one hand and a bottle of tequila in the other, how my dad put a tape recorder in his baby sister's closet at night to scare her, how my mom once nailed all the kitchen cupboards shut. I don't know. They're wonderful.

I was listening to Utada Hikaru's "Sanctuary" and I realized, if you look up the lyrics, it has several lines backwards, but it's not at all what the lines sound like in the song. So why is it, when you reverse a sound clip, it doesn't sound like all the words written backwards?

School

Is picking up like crazy and I've realized I know absolutely zilch about video editing. But I'm gonna suck it up and make a half-decent movie over the course of about four hours tomorrow. xD Hopefully I'll be successful.

Also, any good that I do in Geometry is sort of killed by the fact that I'm...a junior and I'm still only in Geometry. It's a shame because it's a satisfying feeling, doing a difficult...problem. Y'know...one that you think is difficult. *sigh* It's not my fault my old school was kind of slack in their math program.

It's October and that means you should all read Ray Bradbury. He's an October kind of guy. Particularly Something Wicked This Way Comes and The Halloween Tree. Go. Go and do.

Hyahhh!

I won second place at the fair. :D I sang Valerie, by the Zutons, styled after Panic! At the Disco's version, and it was the bomb. I had sooooo much fun...and lots of chocolate-dipped cheesecake. Heaven. Also, I really want a pot-belly pig. Am I weird for this? I think they're freaking awesome, and the piglets are adorable. It could go live with my dachshund. xD (My boyfriend says it would EAT my dachshund.)

Also, aughhghgghh, still trying to figure out a way to do a Let's Play of Majora's Mask. Bleh. Wonder if Camtasia might help. Is that what it's called?

Thinking...

About making a fabulous cake of some kind. I sort of want some chocolate and some cream cheese frosting. Either that or some incredible pasta dish. 'Cos you know I'm totally an incredible cook...*cough*

I'm addicted to Rifftrax. Y'know all those dumb ads you see all the time? Yes. That. http://www.rifftrax.com/ Mostly because I've been an MST3K fan for years. So go watch some. It's worth your time. (I recommend Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Aeon Flux, X-Men, and Twilight.)
